REMEDIATION IMPLEMENTATION RETAINER
16-week remediation leadership and implementation oversight
The Remediation Implementation Retainer is a 16-week service in which Doc Mac Learning serves as the remediation team lead, working directly with the remediation team to design the remediation plan, oversee implementation, and support adjustments throughout the remediation period.
PHASE 1: Intake, Review, and Remediation Plan Development (Weeks 1–2)
- Intake call with program leadership
- Review of available evaluations and performance data
- Identification and organization of resident deficiencies
- Mapping of deficiencies to competencies
- Collaborative development of a fully structured, case-specific remediation plan
- Clear goals, actions, and timelines
- Objective criteria for progression and completion
- A remediation roadmap that includes data collection points, meetings, and follow-up activities
PHASE 2: Remediation Implementation and Oversight (Weeks 3–14)
- Ongoing oversight of remediation plan implementation (12 weeks)
- Structured monitoring and progress review
- Guidance on adjustments to the remediation plan as needed
- Multidisciplinary team review of documentation and case materials
- Advisement on communication with the resident
- Documentation strategy and language guidance
- Continuous documentation review to ensure the case remains fair, defensible, and effective
- Monthly remediation team meeting support, including:
- Up to 60 minutes with remediation team (without resident) for preparation and alignment
- Up to 60 minutes remediation meeting with team and resident
- Up to 30 minutes post-meeting debrief
PHASE 3: Wrap-Up and Closeout (Weeks 15–16)
- Final documentation review
- Guidance on end-of-remediation decisions
- Final handoff summary and closeout guidance
