Build a Stronger Remediation System

Program-Level Certification is designed for GME programs that want to move beyond managing remediation one case at a time and establish a consistent approach across the program.

Using the ELEVATE Framework, your program will build an approach to remediation that is fair, defensible, and effective.

DEVELOP INTERNAL EXPERTISE

Two members of your GME team will complete the individual C-RGME Certification as part of your program's certification process.

This gives your program people who understand the ELEVATE Framework at a deeper level and are prepared to help guide its use within the program. The goal is to build expertise that remains within your program and becomes part of how you approach remediation moving forward.

PREPARE YOUR FACULTY

Your program will participate in a 2-hour faculty implementation workshop focused on what your team needs to know to successfully implement the ELEVATE Framework.

This isn't a generic remediation workshop. It is designed specifically to prepare your faculty for implementation and create a shared understanding of how the framework will work within your program.

PUT THE FRAMEWORK INTO PRACTICE

Program-Level Certification isn't earned by simply attending training.

Your program will implement the ELEVATE Framework with an active remediation case and receive guidance and feedback along the way.

This is where the framework moves from something your team has learned to something your program actually uses.

CONTINUE LEARNING THROUGH REMEDIATION LAB

Your program will also receive 12 months of Remediation Lab access for up to five GME professionals.

With 24 live Remediation Roundtables throughout the year, your team will have ongoing opportunities to learn about the issues that make remediation difficult, discuss real-world cases, and explore practical strategies they can use in their own work.

WHAT PROGRAM-LEVEL CERTIFICATION REPRESENTS

Program-Level Certification demonstrates that your program has made a deliberate commitment to a fair, defensible, and effective approach to remediation.

For current learners, that commitment means something. When concerns arise, they know the program has an established approach for remediation rather than creating a process in response to the individual situation.

The designation also gives prospective candidates insight into your program's culture. It demonstrates that supporting learners through difficulty is something your program has thought about, prepared for, and committed to doing well.

EARNING PROGRAM-LEVEL CERTIFICATION

Program-Level Certification is awarded after two members of your GME team earn their individual C-RGME credentials, your faculty complete the implementation workshop, and your program successfully applies the ELEVATE Framework to an active remediation case.

Once those requirements are met, your program will receive the Program-Level Certification designation.
