Program Remediation Package

A Better Approach to Remediation Starts With Your Team.

Build a consistent remediation process, prepare your faculty to contribute, and put it all into practice with personalized guidance.

Effective remediation takes more than a well-written plan.

It takes program leaders who understand how to manage the process, faculty who know how to provide meaningful feedback, and a clear way to determine whether a resident is making progress.

The Program Remediation Package brings those pieces together.

Your leadership team completes C-RGME certification together. Your faculty receive practical training that strengthens everyday observation and feedback. And when your next remediation case begins, you have guidance available as your team puts what they've learned into practice.

One coordinated approach, built around how remediation actually works in your program.

Three Components. One Stronger Remediation Process.

01 | Prepare Your Remediation Team

C-RGME Certification for Three Program Leaders

Give your leadership team a shared foundation for managing resident remediation.

Three leaders complete Certification in Remediation in Graduate Medical Education (C-RGME), learning to apply the ELEVATE Framework to the decisions and documentation involved in remediation.

Throughout the training, your team works together on weekly deliverables, building a shared understanding of the remediation process. Each participant then completes an individual Capstone case, receiving personalized written feedback and suggested revisions.

Your team leaves with more than a certification. They've practiced working through remediation together, while each leader has demonstrated the ability to apply the framework independently.

02 | Strengthen the Quality of Faculty Feedback

Faculty Development Intensive for Up to 15 Faculty

Faculty play an important role in identifying performance concerns and documenting resident progress. But the information they provide isn't always specific enough to be useful.

The Faculty Development Intensive focuses on what happens during everyday clinical teaching.

Faculty learn to make useful observations, give feedback residents can act on, and write evaluation comments that describe what they actually observed.

The goal isn't to ask faculty to complete more paperwork. It's to help them provide better information through the work they're already doing.

Better faculty feedback gives program leaders better information for remediation decisions.

03 | Apply What You've Learned to a Real Case

12 Weeks of Guided Implementation

Your team shouldn't have to figure out how to apply its training alone.

When your next active remediation case begins, we'll help you put your process to work.

You'll have guidance as you revise the remediation plan, review progress, and work through questions that arise during the first 12 weeks of the case.

This isn't another course or a set of generic recommendations. It's an opportunity to apply your training to the circumstances your program is actually facing.

And you don't need an active case to enroll. Complete your training now and use the implementation support when your next case begins.

Designed to Work Together

Each component addresses a different part of the remediation process.

Your C-RGME participants learn how to lead remediation. Your faculty learn how to provide useful performance information. Guided implementation helps your team apply that work to an actual case.

Instead of relying on disconnected training and individual approaches, your program begins developing a process that people understand and can use consistently.

That's the purpose of the Program Remediation Package.
